Stress, tension, poor posture and incorrect alignment from long hours at work hunched over the computer or injuries can cause stiff and tight shoulders leading to discomfort and pain. Shoulder opening classes can help relieve tightness and increase the range of motion by stretching and strengthening the muscles, tendons and ligaments around the shoulder joints. This brings the body back into balance and better health.
Long hours of sitting at the desk or doing sports like running and cycling can tighten the hips. As the hips and pelvis connect the upper and lower parts of the body, hip tightness causes the spine to be overused and this may lead to lower back pain and spine misalignments. This class will work on increasing flexibility in the quadriceps and hip flexors, hamstrings, glutes, groin and the pelvis. When the hips are open, this allows for greater range of motion, better circulation and support for the muscles of the spine. It will also improve balance, posture and prevent injuries in later life. Students will also have a chance to work on various postures and learn how improved hip flexibility can help them perform these poses with greater ease.
Backbends are invigorating and energise the body acting as natural a ‘anti depressant’. Heart opening poses stretch and expand the chest inducing deeper breathing and a feeling of wellness. This class will work on preparing the body for a safer practice in backbending stressing the lengthening and use of the whole spine in particular the upper and middle back. Poses will work on building flexibility and strength in the spine, shoulders, chest, pelvis and hip flexors. Students will be taught the correct technique in approaching various basic and advanced backbending postures.
In this class the basic, foundational yoga postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. … Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
Hatha yoga can expect an accommodating practice full of static postures, mindful breathwork and a manageable pace. This practice allows for a greater focus on alignment and breathing, making the practice accessible to student of all levels, especially beginners.
The class comprises long-held passive poses using minimal muscular effort so as to access the deep connective tissues like the fascia, ligaments, joints and bones. When the connective tissues around the joints are underused this causes pain and limits mobility. Yin yoga improves flexibility and circulation, stimulates energy flow along the meridians and enhances organ function. Practising it regularly calms the body and reduces the heart rate making it a great stress reliever. It also helps prepare the mind and body for meditation.
Join our creative yoga wheel class designed to stretch and develop mobility in the whole body. Rolling on the wheel helps to relieve muscular tension and tightness in the back, chest, shoulders, abdomen and hips. For those wishing to advance their backbend practice, the yoga wheel is a great tool offering support and assist. Students will also improve their balance and develop core strength and stability trying out fun, challenging poses.
Yoga Stretch is an active stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings and upper back. Living in a forward facing, seated world, these areas tend to be tight for everyone. Tight muscles can cause imbalance and pull the body out of alignment.
Vinyasa yoga places focus on flowing sequences that move through poses with awareness of breathing. In this class you will stretch, strengthen your whole body unique flow. Class is available for all levels. There will be demonstrations and instructions with variations of all poses.
Stretch & Twist
Twisting actions stimulate the blood circulation and release tension in the muscles of the abdomen. When you do a Yoga twist, it creates an intra-abdominal compression and spine, and the digestive organs will experience fresh blood flow rich in oxygen and nutrients. It’s very helpful for back bend practitioners.
Arm balances increases core and shoulder strength, improves mental focus and builds confidence. Students will learn the fundamentals and technique for various arm balance poses on how to find their centre of gravity while strengthening their fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, and abdominal muscles. They will learn how to use their core muscles to stabilize and connect to the energy and power of their arms and shoulders. This class will also focus on building suppleness in the lower body especially the hips and hip flexors that help them get into the shapes of the poses minimizing the effort required to lift off. You will learn how to trust your arms and fingers to find good balance in the poses with confidence.
Chair yoga class is very effective and easy for all yoga practitioners to get complete benefits of yoga practice with simple and easy steps to improve flexibility in our muscles and joints.

increasing flexibility and range of motion to help you achieve a better line for a flat or oversplit and middle splits in a safe manner. It is also beneficial for anyone who wants to unlock tight hamstrings and hip muscles. This class is open to all levels of flexibility and the stretches will be adaptable for different levels. There will be demonstrations of poses.
